Historical villa with famous pedigree Pisa Tuscany for sale

A few kilometres from the centre of Pisa is located “Villa Medicea L’Ammiraglio”, a vast property of 20,000 sq. metres on two floors, with very large cellars and two symmetrical square turrets which rise on the front of the property.

The villa was built in the late 1500‘s by Giulio de’ Medici, First Admiral of the Medicea fleet and a member of the Order of the Knights of San Stefano, son of Alessandro and great grandson of Lorenzo the Magnificent,

The ground floor is accessible via a few steps in serena stone from the main facade and enters a large living room with four rooms on the right mirrored by four rooms on the left.

Access to the upper floor is by means of two L-shaped staircases that rise from the entrance hall onto a vaulted landing from which one reaches, through a large antique wooden door, framed by exposed brickwork, the large upper living room with four rooms on the right again mirrored by four rooms on the left.

Attractive features include windows decorated with pilasters of typical Florentine style framed by serena stone; medieval-style large wooden doors; brick and stone stairs.

At the rear of this floor there are two large terraces overlooking the hills of Pisa. The property sits on 8,000 sq. metres of land.
